Spoke Hole Pull-Out Test

Every Light Travel rim undergoes a spoke hole pull-out test. Each spoke hole must withstand at least 300 kgf without cracking.

Typical high spoke tension on a built wheel is 120–130 kgf. That means the spoke-hole pull-out requirement is roughly 2.3–2.5x higher than typical built-wheel spoke tension.

For the rider, this gives the nipple bed a clear safety margin above normal wheel build loads, reducing the risk of spoke-hole cracking or deformation from standard spoke tension.
